Activist Sevak Mnatsakanyan Released from Prison After Serving 16 Months

After spending 16 months in prison on charges stemming from the November 2013 Shant Harutyunyan case, Sevak Mnatsakanyan was released today and is back home with family.

“Nothing has changed,” Mnatsakanyan told this reporter. I perceive freedom the same way; a condition of the spirit. My freedom of movement was simply curtailed. But a person’s freedom of spirit can never be restricted.”

Mnatsakanyan thanked all those who supported him and other political prisoners during their incarceration.
