Armenia’s Police Department has called on the press to assist in the ongoing reforms process within its ranks.

In an official statement, the Police say the recent staff changes within the department has given rise to a spate of rumors that are hindering the work of cops and creating a negative work environment.

The Police Department says the personnel changes have been made to improve the effectiveness and performance level of the department and thus urges the press to avoid publishing what it calls unverified information.
