Armenian Foreign Minister Hosts MEP Kristian Vigenin

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian today met with European Parliament MP Kristian Vigenin.

Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandian noted that “the expansion of comprehensive cooperation between Armenia and the European Union has always been one of the priorities of Armenian foreign policy and the frequency of the reciprocal visits and meetings in the recent period is an evidence of this.”

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed issues related to Armenia-EU cooperation, and reference was made to the current stage of the negotiations on the Association Agreement and cooperation within the framework of EuroNest - the parliamentary component of the proposed Eastern Partnership. It consists of members of the European Parliament and Parliaments of Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia

Vigenin is a member of the Coalition for Bulgaria, part of the Party of European Socialists, and became an MEP on 1 January 2007 with the accession of Bulgaria to the European Union.
