Catholicos Garegin II and Catholicos Aram I traveled to Artsakh today in a show of solidarity to the government, residents and soldiers, says a statement released by the Armenian Apostolic Mother Church See of Holy Edjmiadzin.

The two heads of the church, along with their retinue, were greeted at the airport in Stepanakert by Archbishop Barkev Mardirosyan, Primate of Artsakh, Artsakh Parliament President Ashot Ghoulyan, the Artsakh minister of culture and justice, and top military officials.

The two catholicoi then met with Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan.
