May 20 - Shakespeare Readings in Yerevan Metro Stations
The British Council (Armenia) says it will be joining Shakespeare Lives, a global programme of events and activities celebrating the world's most popular playwright's work on the 400th anniversary of his death in 2016.
On May 20, in Yerevan metro stations, works of the Bard will be read and actors from the Poke Theater will perform passages from Shake Speare.
Starting at 2 p.m. actor Arsen Grigoryan will be reading Armenian translations of Shakespeare at Yerevan’s Yeritasardakan metro station.
Readings will then take place at the Hanrapetakan metro station until 5 p.m.
