A doctor and a nurse at a Yerevan medical center were arrested on June 8 on suspicion of organizing the purchase and sale of a baby born in April, this according to Armenia’s Investigative Committee.

The ongoing investigation into the incident found that Dr. Antonyan and nurse Goharik Khachatryan used forged documents to effect the sale of the newborn.
