In the 3rd quarter of 2011, compared to the same period last year, 0.1 – 44.1% inflation was recorded in 11 out of 13 food commodities reviewed in Armenia.

The price index for eggs increased by 44.1%, for sugar – 28.7%, for milk – 21.6%, for animal and vegetable oil – 21.0%, for meat – 12.9%, for bread and bakery – 9.8% (compared to 5.9% inflation in the same period of the previous year), for fish – 2.6%, for fruit – 0.1%, etc.

Moreover, in condition of inflation of bread and bakery in observed period the price of the wheat imported to the Republic increased by 1.0% compared to the same period of 2010 and made up 94.5 drams per kg.

Deflation was observed in vegetables and potatoes product group – 17.3%.
