In the III quarter of 2011 consumer price index made up 105.7% compared to 108.7% for the same period of the previous year. The recorded inflation was the result of an inflation of food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco), non food products and services 108.7%, 103.2% and 102.2% correspondingly.

In the III quarter of 2011 the average monthly nominal wages comprised 115331 drams. This is approximately 3.5 times higher than the minimum salary, which was defined as 32500 drams since January 1, 2011 in the Republic. In the observed period the growth trend in average monthly nominal wages (6.1%) was registered in compared to recorded inflation (5.7%).
