The Hayanist Inter-Community Association recently launched a study of the Hrazdan River focusing in on the water quality/quantity issue. Another aim of the study was to pinpoint practical steps to alleviate problems the river faces today.

With assistance from the OSCE Office in Yerevan, work was conducted to map and evaluate ecological risks to the river.

More than ten communities along the river were included in the study to evaluate the man-made and natural pressures on the waterway which have led to a decrease in water quality.

The Arhaus Center in Yerevan will be organizing a discussion of the study’s results on April 29 at 3pm. The center is located at 46 Charents Street.
