Senior Policeman Accused of Squandering
The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated against the senior policeman of the police company for squandering was completed in the RA Special Investigation Service. The prosecutor who had supervised the preliminary investigation of the criminal case confirmed the bill of indictment.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the senior policeman of the Guard-dogs Breeding Division of the State Protection General Department of the RA Police A. Gevorgyan from January to September 2011 had got 32.280 liters of gasoline based on the contacts in order to provide the employees of the mentioned police division with gasoline. He had also got 7.830 liters of gasoline from the Economic Department of the RA Police.
According to the investigation A. Gevorgyan had recorded and organized the distribution of the fuel and squandered 5.020 liters of gasoline receipts in the amount of 1 894 800 drams by using his official position and breaking the procedure of filling in the record book. He had sold the gasoline receipts to different persons and used the sum of money for his personal needs.
A. Gevorgyan was charged according to the RA Criminal Code Article 179, part 2, points 1 and 3. The criminal case was sent to the Court of First Instance of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts.
Prosecutor General's Office reports that during the preliminary investigation on November 18, 2011, 1 894 800 drams of property damage caused by A. Gevorgyan was recovered.
