Cheese Factory Director Petitions PM Sargsyan - Wants Land Back

Hetq has covered the ongoing 3 year trial pitting General Haygaz Baghmanyan against the Martouni Cheese Factory.

The General is trying to obtain a piece of the factory’s land via the courts and his son Pavel (who owns Pavel and Friends Ltd.) The RA government is also involved since it has allocated a piece of the factory’s land to the Martouni Municipality. Tatul Baghdasaryan, the director of the factory, only learned of this fact recently. Having failed to arrive at a just resolution in the courts, Mr. Baghdasaryan has sent the following letter to RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

Dear Prime Minister,

Taking into account that the government and other bureaucrats have disregarded my many petitions regarding the illegal and secret allocation of Martouni Chess Factory real estate to the Martouni Municipality, I am forced to write to you personally in the hope of a resolution to the matter and request that you, as the head of government, take all necessary measures to expose those behind this illegal transfer of factory real estate, registered as factory property according to Government Decision 135 and dated January 1, 2006. I also request that these individuals be punished and that our real estate be returned. I hope that this open letter will assist in resolving the matter at hand.

People apply to the President and the Prime Minister with their grievances in Hayastan because the legal system and its representatives are neither reliable to uphold the law nor honest. We seem to be living few centuries back in the country's jurisprudence system.
