Secretary in Yerevan Division of “Traffic Police” Service Accused of Forgery and Purchase of Official Documents
A criminal case was initiated for forgery and illegal purchase of official documents based on the statement made by a citizen.
The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated against the secretary of the Registration and Examination Division of the “Traffic Police” Service of the RA Police was completed in the Special Investigation Service. The prosecutor who had supervised the preliminary investigation of the criminal case confirmed the bill of indictment.
According to pretrial evidence, A. Avagyan worked as a secretary in the Yerevan № 3 Division of the “Traffic Police” Service of the RA Police. She forged official documents, sold them to over a dozen of citizens and received money for them.
Besides, having the authority to record the applications of the division in the record book as well as to give national and international driving licenses she came to an agreement with a number of citizens to give them driving licenses without passing exams for a certain amount of money.
A. Avagyan was charged according to the RA Criminal Code Articles 325, part 1, 326 and 34-326 and G. Yeghiazaryan according to the Article 326 (illegal purchase or sale of official documents).
RoA Prosecutor General's Office reports that the criminal case was sent to the Court of First Instance of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts.
