Yesterday evening at about 9:40, photo-reporter Gagik Shamshyan was assaulted when he attempted to cover a major traffic accident in Yerevan.

It appears that those involved in the accident didn't want the publicity.

Three youths involved in the accident were taken into custody by police for unruly behaviour shown towards curious onlookers.

The driver and passenger of one the cars involved were taken to hospital.
