As of June 1, People Betting Above One Million AMD in Armenia Will Be Identified
The Armenian government today accepted a draft decision introduced by Armenia’s First Deputy Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan that would create an identification database for clients betting above one million AMD in for-profit gaming, internet gaming and casinos.
This measure is deemed necessary to regulate and control the gambling sphere and prevent money laundering.
The draft decision was shared with different state structures and bodies. None have issued any objections or suggestions in response.
The decision will come into force from June 1.
