Kindergarten to Open Without Beds

The kindergarten in the village of Nor Armavir is scheduled to open in a few days. But it looks like the toddlers will have no beds for their mid-day naps.

In fact, the kindergarten also lacks desks, chairs and other furnishings.

Narineh Avetisyan, the kindergarten’s bookkeeper, told Hetq that a group iof benefactors kicked in to buy toys and that 5,000 AMD paid by parents every month goes to cover meals for the tots even though 18,000 is spent on each child monthly.

50 kids have already registered for the new kindergarten. Mrs. Avetisyan says there are more on the waiting list but that the school cannot accommodate any more due to space restrictions.
