After the resignation of Hovik Abrahamyan from the post of RA National Assembly speaker, rumors circulated in the press that the new speaker, Samvel Nokoyan, would dismiss National Assembly Chief of Staff Gegham Gharibjanyan as the first step in sweeping staff changes.

The press reported that the two men didn’t get on well together and that Nikoyan wanted to get rid of Gharibjanyan as soon as possible.

Gharibjanyan has told Hetq that he doesn’t pay attention to newspapers that are “rags” and that he and Nikoyan are continuing to work together.
