
Brazilian City of Campinas Recognizes 1915 Genocide
The mayor of the Brazilian city of Campinas has signed a resolution recognizing the 1915 Genocide of Armenians.
Mayor Demétrio Vilagra signed the resolution adopted by the City Council on November 20.
According to the document, April 24 will be marked every year as the Day of Commemoration of Armenian Genocide victims.
The city of Campinas, with a population of 1.2 million, is located in the San Paolo district.
