Thousands have gathered in Yerevan’s Republic Square to attend an anti-Serzh Sargsyan rally.

Yelk Alliance MP Nikol Pashinyan, who’s spearheading the protests, told the crowd that the rally is the largest in Armenia’s history since the country declared its independence in 1991.

Armenia’s parliament today elected Sargsyan as prime minister by a vote of 77-17.
