Hundreds have gathered near Yerevan’s Parekamutyun Metro station, effectively blocking traffic in all directions. 

A driver of one of the buses caught in the jam said that after returning the vehicle to the station he planned to come back and join the protest. 

Hovsep Muradyan, who drives the #8 minivan route, joined the protesters on foot after leaving the vehicle parked in the middle of Kievyan Street. 

No police are to be seen in the area.
