Hundreds of Gyumri residents marched through Armenia’s second largest town today in opposition to Serzh Sargsyan and to demand the immediate release of jailed protest leader MP Nikol Pashinyan.

Sargsyan was symbolically “laid to rest” in the town’s Theater Square, when protesters appeared with a burial wreath with his photo attached.

Armenian Apostolic Church Shirak Diocese parish priests also marched, bearing wooden crosses.
