Atom Egoyan's message to the people of Armenia.

To my brothers and sisters. Whatever the result today, I am full of pride for what you have accomplished so far. You have made history and the eyes of the world are upon you. The road ahead will be full of challenges, but I am here - like all of my diasporan compatriots - to support in any way we can. Take pride in all you have accomplished with such belief and trust in your own intelligence, your own spirit and your own desire for a better life in our cherished Hayasdan. You have chosen yourself to be deserving of a better and more honest path ahead. We are here to walk this path with you.

To watch you today listening to the questions and answers posed in the Parliament as the session was broadcast in Republic Square and all over the country was a triumph of democracy. Your collective spirit was expressed and heard at the highest level of a reluctant government. Such an important step forward!

Quote Khalil Gibran. "The seat of fear is in your heart and NOT in the hand of the feared." In the past weeks, I have seen this fear dispelled and a tremendous step forward has been taken in our collective spirit.
