Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on being elected Armenia’s new prime minister.

“I hope that your actions as head of government will strengthen friendly relations between Russia and Armenia, in addition to our cooperation as partners in the CIS, EEU and CSTO," Putin writes.
