Armenia has requested that the OSCE monitor the Nakhijevan segment of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Press Spokesman Tigran Balayan told reporters today in Yerevan that OSCE monitoring might deter Baku from mounting any provocative military measures in the are.

“In light of recent Azerbaijani provocations, Armenia has periodically petitioned Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, proposing such monitoring, but Azerbaijani has not yet agreed,” Balayan said.
