Law enforcement agencies in Armenia have issued an all-points bulletin for Tigran Khachatryan, the son of former Syunik Provincial Governor Surik Khachatryan, for using fake medical documents to avoid compulsory military service.

Armenia’s Investigative Committee says that in 2014 Tigran Khachatryan presented documents claiming he suffered from a variety of nervous conditions and that he was granted two deferments as a result – one for five months and another for three years.

Khachatryan has been charged under Articles 325 (Forgery, sale or use of forged documents, stamps, seals, letter-heads, vehicle license plates) and 327 (Evasion from regular military service or training exercises )of Armenia’s Criminal Code.
