Pashinyan Says Government Must Maintain Work Ethic in Run-Up to December Parliamentary Elections
Noting that Armenia is scheduled to hold parliamentary elections in December, Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the government must not let down its guard in the interim, but rather must use the remaining time to work all that more effectively.
Pashinyan resigned as prime minister on October 16 in order to jump start the legal process for the dissolution of the parliament and the holding of new elections.
According to a government press release, Pashinyan urged the civil service sector to refrain from any pre-election campaigning.
Basically, until new parliamentary elections are held and new prime minister is elected, Armenia is being run by a caretaker government.
