Earlier today, reports emerged that a man tried to enter the Armenian Government building in Republic Square armed with a grenade. He was neutralized by the security service.

Armenian NSS Press Secretary told Hetq that the man, born in 1975 and currently held at NSS, aimed to blow himself up.

A criminal case has been initiated under the Armenian Criminal Code, Article 235, Clause 1 on illegal procurement, transportation, keeping or carrying of weapons, explosives or explosive devices.
