Armenia: New Bill Would Stipulate Open-Door Government Cabinet Sessions

Armenia’s Ministry of Justice is proposing a bill that would make all government cabinet sessions public.

Currently, the law stipulates closed-door cabinet sessions, with the prime minister able to decide whether some or all of the session is open-door.

The bill would stipulate open-door sessions, authorizing the prime minister to decide whether some or all of the session is conducted behind closed doors.
