Nine parties and two party alliances participating in Armenia’s snap parliamentary elections, scheduled for December 9, have submitted their financial disclosures to the Central Electoral Commission.

According to these disclosures, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is the richest.

As of October 31, 2018, the RPA has 25.696 million drams in cash. As for income, it’s 345.268 million drams, of which 221 million drams derive from membership fees, 84 million drams - budget financing. (The current Law on Parties says that funds from the State Budget shall be allocated to the political party (alliance of political parties) the electoral list whereof has, during the latest elections of the National Assembly, received at least three percent of the total sum of the total number of votes cast in favor of electoral lists of all political parties having participated in the voting and the number of inaccuracies.)

According to the declaration, the RPA also owns 78 units of real estate across Armenia - 56 units of land plots and 22 units of buildings. The RPA also owns four cars.

The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), with its declared 21.795 million in cash and 85.6 million drams of income, comes in second. 38.6 million drams come from donations (the party doesn’t specify the donors), while the rest is from the state budget. The party has also declared 22 million drams in cash.

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has declared around 54 million drams in revenue, of which 41 million 700 comes from membership fees, and cash of 6.634 million drams. The party has 41 units of buildings. The party has not declared any cars or any other valuable property.

As we see from the list, the other parties own either less, or nothing, as compared to the top three.
