Government to Pay Genocide Survivors Monthly Pension
During a government session today regarding pensions, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan gave the green light to a law that would pay survivors of the 1915 Armenian Genocide up to 25,000 AMD per month (approximately $70) in financial assistance.
Eligible individuals would be those who could prove they were born in 1915, or before, in western Armenia or Ottoman Turkey.
