The Armenian Bar Association has prepared and filed written legal arguments with the United States Supreme Court in an effort to reverse an appellate court decision in Movsesian v. Versicherung AG, which nullified a California statute allowing for the pursuit of Genocide-related life insurance recoveries.
In January-July 2012 CJSC ''South Caucasus Railway'' significantly increased the level of efficiency of freight wagons and locomotive fleet. According to the latest statistics of CJSC "SCR" wagon turnover compared with seven months of 2011 accelerated by 0.4 days or 11.4%. On an average, one car was in circulation during 3.5 days.

Richard Morningstar, the newly appointed US ambassador to Azerbaijan, will leave for Baku after August 25 according to the Trend news service. The announcement was made in Georgetown during an event at the United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) offices.
But we failed in our most important task of all – to change the mentality of local community leaders. We failed to impress upon them the fact that they are obligated, by law, to publicly display the decisions taken by local governing bodies. The same law holds true for national state bodies - the government, parliament, the courts, etc.
