Two individuals at the center of a $900 million fraud at Kabul Bank were convicted of defrauding the Afghan people on Tuesday, according to a report by the New York Times. Azat Ghukasyan, mayor of the Syunik village of Hartashen, has been sentenced to 8 years for the rape of a 14 year-old girl. The girl was a student in Ghukasyan’s gym class at the local school.
