Out of the 160 families residing in the Hakhtanak village of Tavoush Province, 45 moved here in the late 1980s and early 1990s as refugees from Georgia and Azerbaijan.
These issues are explored in the play, “From Sacred Wrath,” which will be performed on April 18, 2015 and April 19, 2015 at The Davenport Theatre in New York City.
Sahakyan said that Artsakh has great expectations from cooperating with the foundation, set up by philanthropist and businessman Ruben Vardanyan and his wife, which implements large-scale charity initiatives for Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian diaspora.
“When it was snowing, my son went out to play. But it was cold and I’m called him to come home. Armenia is our father. So why doesn’t he call us inside?”
