Armenia’s government today gave the green light for the construction of a new building in Yerevan that will house the Hamazgayin State Theatre, named in honor of the celebrated actor Sos Sargsyan, who established it in 1991.
Among the guest at the meeting were Majed el-Shafie president and founder of One Free World International (OFWI), a Toronto-based international human rights organization which advocates for religious minorities, and Conservative Party of Canada MPs Tony Clement and Rachel Harder.

Gagik Petrosyan is the eghth soldier to receive a fully renovated house from the Tufenkian Foundation. Before being wounded, Mr. Petrosyan served in one of the frontline military bases in Artsakh and was heavily wounded during one of the battles following the Four Day War.
The move is not reciprocal, and citizens of Armenia will still need a visa to enter Japan.
The money will be used to rent the Karen Demirchian Sports-Concert Complex, on organizational expenses, and to furnish the various meeting halls.
