The Women's Support Center in Yerevan runs two shelters to support women and children from all across Armenia who are fleeing violence. In the absence of state support, this is a service that is desperately needed in the country.
Kherounts, who was facing a number of charges, is said to have died from cardio-vascular failure.
“The perpetrators of this fraud may provide official-looking documentation, but it is fraudulent. We urge anyone interested in relocating to the United States to be vigilant for such immigration scams,” the warning says.
