At a meeting with representatives of Yerevan-based construction firms, Yeghish Terteryan, who heads the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, raised the issue of improper dumping of building waste, telling the business owners that his agency would prefer to prevent such violations, rather than having to fine the companies at fault.
Armenia’s Ministry of Health reports that plans are underway to build a new hospital in Vayotz Dzor Province and that Minister of Health Levon Altunyan has already met with local physicians in the town of Yegheknadzor.
