Taron Nazaryan, a judge with Armenia’s Administrative Court of Appeals, continues to receive interest from a $78,500 loan he gave to the Georgian “Unimet” company several years ago.
He sold his garage for 8.5 million AMD ($21,000) and then purchased two more for 3 million AMD each. Tadevosyan then sold them at the same price.
The 31 year-old judge, son of Vanadzor Mayor Samvel Gharibyan, only declared 4,969,724 AMD ($12,270) in salary revenue for 2011, bit had more than seven times as much, 38 million AMD, in the bank.
He also declared 100 million AMD and $220,000 in the bank at the start of the year. His AMD deposits shrunk to 15 million by year’s end.
Taking a look at his 2011 financial disclosure, it appears that Judge Grigoryan also made 300,000 AMD from honey making, 4.5 million from meat production and 2 million from dairy production.
Gagik Khandanyan has served as a judge at the Kentron and Nork-Marash Court since 1999. According to Khandanyan’s 2011 financial disclosure, his monthly salary is 476,875 AMD. His only other revenue for the year was a 3.8 million AMD “gift”.
Judge Rehanyan’s wife Nouneh Sargsyan declared 30 million AMD in revenue as a sole proprietor. She also declared 170 million AMD in the bank as of the end of the year, 64 million more than she had at the start of the year.
Even though Judge Artak Zakharyan only receives an annual salary of 3.939 million AMD, he reported a whopping 422 million AMD in the bank as of January 1, 2011.
Judge Vladimir Grigoryan, who sits on the bench at the Erebouni and Noubarashen District Court, has flown under the radar of the press for some time. Thus, many readers will be surprised to hear that the judge and his wife are quite well-off financially.
Kostanyan has served as Shengavit president since January 2006. Before this, he served as President of the Erebouni and Noubarashen Court. In 2005, he declared 4,080,227 AMD in revenues; consisting of his wages.
