Melanya Arustamyan, Mr. Hakobyan’s defense lawyer, questioned whether this petition and the transcript of the ealier testimony was really that of Mr. Antonyan himself. The attorney then said that Mr. Antonyan had been spotted in Yerevan by two individuals
About half way in to the session, Mr. Hakobyan’s lawyer, Melanya Aroustamyan, said that her client was feeling uneasy and asked the judge to call an ambulance. Judge Avetisyan then made arrangements for Mr. Hakobyan to be transferred to a hospital.
Hrachik Atoyan, leader of the “Shamshadin” unit in the Artsakh War, was called to the witness stand in the case of Hakob Hakobyan. The case is being heard at the Kentron and Nork-Marash Jurisdictional Court in Yerevan.
Yesterday Mr. Hovhannesyan had testified that he had no connection with the events in question and that he was home on March 1, 2008. He had offered testimony of an accusatory nature against Hakob Hakobyan and Armen Farmanyan, one of the victims of March 1st.
