The Artsakh Ministry of Defense today denied that its forces fired eight 60mm mortar rounds across the Line of Contact into Azerbaijan.

The claim was made by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense and picked up by the Azerbaijani media.

Calling the Azerbaijani statement disinformation, the Artsakh defense ministry claims that Azerbaijani forces employed long-range sniper rifles and fired five HAN-17 grenades along the border.

The Artsakh defense ministry, in a statement released today, adds that it has noticed an increase in Azerbaijani drone activity along the Line of Contact.

The ministry calls on Azerbaijan to cease such provocative actions and to abide by agreements reached in conjunction with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs.
