Pashinyan Attends Reopening of Maralik Cotton Factory

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today attended the reopening of a cotton factory in the Shirak town of Maralik.

The government granted the factory, which will produce cotton, thread and cloth scraps, a customs’ import fee waiver for equipment and raw materials.

The $ 13 million investment project is being implemented by Artik CJSC LLC.    

The factory will initially employ 120 and produce 380 tons of cotton, mainly for markets in Armenia and Russia.
