Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) reports that during the first half of 2019, its border troops prevented 52 attempts to illegally cross the state border.

The NSS doesn't specify how many of the crossings were to enter, or exit, Armenia.

78 individuals were involved in the 52 attempted crossings.

The NSS states that at the country’s legal border crossings, 1,005 persons, sought by various law enforcement agencies, were searched and handed over to the police during the above period.
