Armenian Health Minister: We Can't Lower Our Guard

Armenian Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan has urged people not to lower their guard in the fight to halt the spread of the coronavirus.

Torosyan, in a Facebook post today, said that the number of new infections was growing at a stable daily rate of 3-4% and that the number of people in treatment ranges between 700 to 800.

“This means that we must all make additional efforts to slow down the growth rate. We don’t have the right to lower our guard,” Torosyan wrote.

He said that recent infections of medical workers, in Yerevan and the provinces, was worrisome and urged them to use protective gear at all times.
