Former Artsakh Parliament Speaker: ""Azerbaijan is making a last-ditch effort to resolve the Karabakh conflict in its favor"

Former Artsakh National Speaker Ashot Ghulyan, at a press conference today in Stepanakert, said that while the country was expecting warfare, he and other held out hope that Azerbaijan would have learnt some lessons from the past and avoided launching a new round of hostilities.

"Azerbaijan is making a last-ditch effort to resolve the Karabakh conflict in its favor, but I am sure it will not succeed.  I say this because not only Armenia stands with Artsakh, but also all those countries and international organizations that have a good idea of what regional and international security signifies," Ghulyan said.

Ghulyan noted that Azerbaijan has shown that it is an unreliable political partner. Azerbaijan's political behavior has changed in recent years and is parroting Turkey.
