Armenian Defense Ministry: "Azerbaijan Launched Large-Scale Offensive in the South Early Today"
Armenian Defense Ministry representative Artsrun Hovhannisyan, at a press conference today, reported that Azerbaijan continued its offensive operations early this morning
The fiercest fighting took place in the southern direction of the Artsakh border, he said, adding that the norther border was relatively calm today.
"A large-scale offensive has been launched in the southern direction. In one of the directions, the column with about 2-3 dozen cars tried to approach and develop an attack, but because of artillery fire, the column was damaged, and the enemy had to retreat. Stubborn fighting has taken place in other directions, and in some places the fighting is still going on," he said.
Hovhannisyan noted that Azerbaijan is no longer using large numbers of armored vehicles and is employing aircraft, drones and artillery.
"We cannot fail to win after all this. We must win and we will win," concluded Hovhannisyan said.
