Sisian Volunteer Union Commander Cals Pashinyan an "Arrogant, Inept Leader"

Ashot Minasyan, commander of the Sisian volunteer detachment, today accused Nikol Pashinyan of being “arrogant and an inept leader.”

Minasyan, at a Yerevan press conference today, said he believed Azerbaijan, carrying the stigma of defeat for the past two decades, had been looking for an opportune time to launch a new war and viewed Pashinyan as an incapable leader.

"The failed commander-in-chief appointed people who were not able to run their relevant spheres, starting from the military, economic and political spheres,” Minasyan said.

He described the slogan “we will win”, constantly voiced during the war, as a manifestation of boasting that transformed into a national mantra, blinding the government and people from reality.

Minasyan called Pashinyan “our so-called commander-in-chief” who was more interested in handing out military medals to maintain his popularity ratings.

He said that same arrogance had infected the army’s command staff.
