Five Arrested In Yerevan Anti-Pashinyan Protest
Five individuals in Armenia have been arrested on charges of attempting to seize the Government Building in Yerevan.
The five were part of a crowd of a few hundred people who assembled outside the building on Thursday, calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Protesters and riot police clashed, and the five were detained when some of the protesters tried to enter the building.
Mikael Shkhimyan, one of the lawyers representing the detainees, told Hetq that they did not intend to seize the building.
