Pashinyan Forms Working Group to Reform Armenia's Military

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decree today to create a working group tasked with reforming the military and to deepen security ties with Russia.

“We intend to establish even closer cooperation with our number one security partner, Russia. We are confident that as a result of this process, this cooperation will become more effective in the fields of security, military and military-technical cooperation," Pashinyan said at today’s government cabinet session.

Pashinyan also commented on the recent military exhibition in Abu Dhabi and the lack of any Armenian products at the country’s pavilion.

Many in Armenia have criticized the government for ineptitude and have ridiculed the government’s response that logistical problems were the reason why Armenian products never made it to Abu Dhabi.

Pashinyan announced that he has launched an investigation and that those responsible would be called to account.
