Heritage Party Says Government Inaction Led to Today's Capture of Armenian Soldiers
Armenia’s Heritage Party, in a statement released today, says the capture of six Armenian soldiers earlier today by Azerbaijani troops is a consequence of the months long “inaction of the military-political leadership of Armenia”.
The party, led by former Armenian Foreign Minister Raffi Hovannisian, accuses the current Armenian government of focusing on remaining in power rather than tackling security threats to the country.
The party again calls for the creation of a temporary government of national accord, arguing that holding snap parliamentary elections during the current crisis is fraught with danger and will merely redirect public attention from more pressing matters.
