Yerevan’s Court of General Jurisdiction today sustained a motion, filed by the Prosecutor General’s office, to detain Goris Community Mayor Arush Arushanyan.

Arushanyan is charged with offering bribes to two people to get them to vote in favor of the Hayastan (Armenia) bloc in June’s snap parliamentary election.  

Arushanyan rejects the charge.
