Opposition MP Questions Armenian Government's Artsakh Policy
“With Honor” bloc MP Tigran Abrahamyan, during today’s National Assembly discussion on the government’s five-year program, voiced his concern that while Pashinyan’s government states that the final status of the Karabakh conflict should be settled under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group, the issue is not on the agenda of the international community.
"The issue of Artsakh's status is the number one issue of concern to the people of Artsakh now. The non-settlement of this issue will not solve any problem, regardless of any type of social, financial or economic investments," Abrahamyan said, adding that the government’s program fails to mention the term Republic of Artsakh.
The opposition MP also criticized the government for blaming its predecessors for its current failures and noted the security crisis along the country’s borders.
He also questioned whether Armenia’s military has been instructed to ensure the security of Artsakh.
