There are 700 coronavirus patients in Armenia in critical condition according to Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan.

Avanesyan, during today’s government cabinet meeting, said that 1,143 of the 1,500 hospital beds reserved for coronavirus patients are occupied.

The minister, sounding a cautious tone, said that the Covid-19 Delta strain has reached Armenia and is taking its toll.

Avanesyan said that the strain has even impacted young people with no associated health issues.

She said that 7,114 vaccinations were conducted yesterday, raising the total number to 267,504.

The minister did not say how many in the country have been fully vaccinated.

552 new coronavirus cases and eleven deaths were registered yesterday.
